Victims of Holocaust tragedy remembered

This morning in Vienna we lighted the Candles of Memory and Hope to remember all innocent victims of Holocaust, one of the biggest tragedies witnessed by the humankind throughout the history.

Among other European cities, to which more than 65 000 Austrian Jews were sent to death, the names of which are written on the Holocaust Memorial in the centre of Vienna, you can also find Kaunas, second largest city of Lithuania. Overall, around 6 million

Jews lost their lives across Europe, including numerous cities, towns and villages of our country.

When lighting the candles we remember each and every victim of the Holocaust and together with the entire international community say "Never again"!
