OSCE participating States invoked the Moscow mechanism on the human rights situation in Georgia
On 29 January, at the Permanent Council of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), 24 participating States, including Lithuania, activated the OSCE Moscow Mechanism in response to the deteriorating human rights situation in Georgia.
Following the invocation of the Moscow Mechanism, a fact-finding mission will be established to assess Georgia’s implementation of its OSCE commitments and offer recommendations.
