Lithuanian Radiation Protection Centre shares its good practice of radiation protection regulation with colleagues from Bosnia and Hercegovina

Radiation Protection Centre  hosts representatives of Bosnian and Hercegovina’s State Regulatory Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety in January 2015. They were delegated to the Centre by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) under the IAEA‘s technical cooperation Project BOH9004 “Building Capacity and Strengthening the National Regulatory Infrastructure for the Full Implementation of the Basic Safety Standards”.  

Radiation protection specialists from Bosnia and Hercegovina have been introduced to well-developed Lithuanian regulatory framework of radiation protection that works in line with international and European Basic Safety Standards. Current issues on reconsideration of national legislation in order to implement the requirements of revised IAEA’s International Basic Safety Standards as well as revised European Basic Safety Standards has also been discussed during the scientific visit.
