LITHUANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER TO ATTEND MUNICH SECURITY CONFERENCE

From 31 January to 2 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius will be attending the 50th Munich Security Conference. On the occasion of its half century anniversary, this major security policy conference worldwide will discuss the key global and regional security challenges (Syria, Iran, the Middle East), the importance of Europe, transatlantic cooperation, energy and cyber security.

The issue of Ukraine will be given a lot of attention. The Lithuanian Foreign Minister will also discuss the situation in Ukraine during bilateral and multilateral meetings with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities and opposition, partners in the European Union and the United States.
