ALBANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER ARRIVES IN VILNIUS

On 14 December, Albanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Kastriot Islami arrived on official visit in Vilnius.
This is the first visit of Albanian high-ranking official to the Republic of Lithuania in the history of bilateral diplomatic relations.
On 15 December, Albanian Foreign Minister meets with Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus, the Chairman of Seimas Artūras Paulauskas and acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Antanas Valionis.
During the meetings bilateral Lithuanian and Albanian cooperation, possibilities to transfer Lithuania’s reform experience to Albania, this country’s progress in striving for membership in the European Union and NATO, situation in Balkan region will be discussed.
Diplomatic Lithuanian and Albanian relations started on 27 April, 1992.
