Today, on May 7th, 2020, at the 1266th meeting of the Permanent Council of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the 75th Anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe was commemorated.
On May 5th, the 75th Anniversary of the liberation of the Mauthausen Concentration camp, Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the OSCE and other International Organizations in Vienna Ambassador Aurimas Taurantas paid a visit to the Mauthausen Concentration camp memorial and laid flowers in memory of Lithuanian citizens who were detained there.
On April 22, 2020, Mr T. Valionis, Charge d‘Affaires of the Embassy of Lithuania in Ukraine, delivered 500 protective face shields to the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine.
On April 15, 2020, the 4 Groups of Friends on Safety/Protection of Journalists operating in the margins of international organizations in New York, Paris, Geneva and Vienna, have issued a joint statement on safety of journalists and access to information during the COVID-19 crisis. This appeared to be the very first joint statement of these 4 Groups of Friends in history.

On January 30, 2020, at the OSCE Permanent Council meeting, International Holocaust Remembrance Day was marked.
On January 27, 2020, on the occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, the victims of Holocaust were also remembered in Vienna.
This morning, commemorating the tragic events of January 13, 1991, in Vilnius, thousands of memorial candles were lit in Lithuania and many other countries of the World.
